This cutting-edge solution effectively reduces bacteria, fungus, and mold on the surfaces of fresh and processed produce. 


Unlike traditional methods, our process uses only food-grade ingredients compliant with EU food laws and FDA GRAS standards. Free from chlorine-based products and peracetic acid, it is completely smell- and taste-neutral, leaving no concerning residues behind. This makes it safe, effective, and suitable for a wide range of applications in many countries without restrictions.

Convincing results

Food Freshly‘s newly developed application demonstrates a significant positive impact on critical microbiological parameters for fruits and vegetables, such as total plate count and mold. The diagrams compare the effects of different disinfection methods, based on combined average values from various test series using carrots as an example.

 

The control samples, washed only with water, already show high microbiological loads at the time of processing (Day 0), which are close to the generally recommended limits and guidelines for freshly cut fruits and vegetables. Although peracetic acid, as a traditional disinfectant, can improve upon the water-washed samples, Food Freshly‘s method significantly surpasses the results of peracetic acid.

 

The total microbial count is improved by 76 times compared to the control samples, and mold contamination is reduced by 91 times. Even in direct comparison with peracetic acid, Food Freshly reduces the total microbial count by 17 times and mold contamination by 7 times. Similarly, successful results are also achieved with yeasts and enterobacteria, as well as with many other types of fruits and vegetables, such as rocket salad, melons, and blueberries.
